Samantha Green was born in Vancouver BC, from the age of three you could not keep her from dancing and singing. Samantha started her training at a private dance studio, like many others and has since completed her Bachelors degree in dance at Simon Fraser University. With a focus on training in contemporary dance, ballet, and modern, Samantha has also trained in jazz, tap, and musical theater. Most recently, Samantha choreographed her own full length dance work PROXY that was shown in the SFU student series. Samantha has had the privilege to study under the outstanding faculty in the Dance program at SFU, getting to work with choreographers such as Wen Wei Wang, and Crystal Pite. Samantha truly feels that dance is how we can express our truest and purest emotions, without words. Like Martha Graham said “Dance is the hidden language of the soul.”
